Riley was getting tired of being in the castle all the time. Sure her friends were all there, but sometimes you just need a change every once in a while. Have a break from school life and all of the training she was putting herself through. Riley made sure she completed all of her school work, so she could relax and have a little fun over the weekend.
Making sure everything was done and there was nothing that she had forgotten, Riley was ready for her weekend. She knew right away what she wanted to do first. She wanted to go see Michael and see how he is doing, though she just hoped he wasn't busy and didn't mind her popping in. She knew he had a stressful job, trying deceive his co-workers into thinking that he is on their side, when he is secretly getting a group of wizards to join together to take them down.
Changing out of her uniform and into shorts and a v-neck t-shirt, she then headed outside. Riley knew it would be a lot faster to just use apparation to get to the apartment, but she liked to run there instead. So with a quick glance around the grounds and up at the castle, to make sure no one would notice, she disappeared into the forest. After walking for a few moments and making sure she was far from the edge of the forest, Riley transformed.
Riley enjoyed running through the forest as a panther and on such a nice evening as well. It was quite peaceful and somewhat relaxing in a way. She was able to let her thoughts wonder as she weaved in and out among the trees. First she thought about what was going on in the present, then it slowly turned into how the future could be like. How life would be like with the dark lord and the death eaters gone and there was peace. She really hoped that the Resistance would win and life would become better, but there was still a long ways to go.
After an hour, Riley eventually reached the outskirts of the village. She knew it would be very dangerous if she continued on in her panther form, plus she didn't want to draw any attention to herself. Riley transformed back into her human self before stepping out from behind the trees. With a quick once over to make sure everything was alright and nothing out of place, Riley made her way into the village.
It didn't take long for Riley to wander through the village and reach the apartment. Pulling out her key, Riley unlocked the door and stepped inside. "Hello! Anybody home!" She called out as she closed the door behind her. She then walked over to the kitchen, grabbed an apple and started munching on it. Riley had worked up an appetite from all the running.
