Riley couldn't sleep. Many things were running across her mind, mostly school and a few other things. She sat up in her bed and looked around the room. Everyone was sound asleep, so quietly Riley got up and headed down to the common room. Riley was hoping that maybe someone was up, but it seemed like everyone was in bed sleeping, where she should be a well. Shrugging her shoulders and sighing, Riley headed out of the common room in her pjs to go outside for some fresh air.
Once outside, Riley headed straight for the Forbidden Forest. It had been a while since she was last there and she knew that she need to practice. With a quick glance around the grounds, Riley disappeared amongst the trees. She walked through the forest for about ten minutes, before reaching a clearing. Walking towards the center of the clearing, Riley kept a look out, in case there was something hiding in the shadows.
Closing her eyes for a moment, Riley concentrated on changing. She knew that she could transform, and was getting better and faster at it each time. Slowly Riley could feel her bones shifting. Her spine began to arc and she doubled over. Black fur began to cover her arms and legs as her nails turned into claws. Her hands and feet started changing into paws and a long tail appeared. Riley could feel her teeth becoming razor sharp and her ears transforming. It wasn't long until she was covered in black fur from head to toe and she was a black panther. The only thing that was reconizable about Riley was her blue eyes.
With a deep breath, Riley let out a loud roar. Then she began to pounce and run around, getting use to this form. She would occassionally climb and tree and jump from one branch to another, then jump off a branch and gingerly land on her feet. She would claw at some of the trees, practicing to attacking, but most just clawing at them, because she had a huge urge to.
