What would you say if I told you the Death eaters never failed? That, instead of loosing the prophecy, they retrieved it for their master? You might say that shouldn't have happened. You might say things would change drastically. You'd be right if you thought that. The Dark lord's gaining power the same way he did before. His army is growing to vast numbers. People are fleeing, and fighting. But, it's futile. The Order of the Phoenix is trying to regroup. But, it's hard. With so many people hiding in fear, who's going to want to openly say they're against Voldemort? Not many, to answer that.
When most thought that Bellatrix Lestrange had killed Sirius Black, the order was deeply affected. Sirius had been an asset. A valuable member of the Order. He's gone, and now the truth is starting to come out. The whisper grew to full blown voices that it had indeed been Harry who killed Sirius, and he did it to prove to the Dark Lord that the young man who had been deemed the one to live was worthy of being part of his dark army. All those years ago at the mirror of Eraised a promise was forged, an alliance was made that would change the wizarding world forever. Those thought of as friends were enemies and those thought as enemies were now friends.
The year is now 2000 and evil has long since taken hold of the wizarding world. Good now hides in the shadows and must whisper to keep from being found. People are suddenly disappearing and new faces are showing up in their places. The witches and wizards that were once level heads and people of power have been replaced, with those who obey his lordship. For starters, Lucius Malfoy was appointed Head Governor of Hogwarts. He along with other Death Eaters and supporters have been placed in various positions all over the ministry. You never know who you can trust, anymore.
The dawning of a new era has taken place. Families are being rounded up and questioned about their blood status... Some of those families are never seen again. The village of Hogsmeade that was once filled with active students all shopping now has a different purpose. It is now the home of the Wizarding Housing Authority, an organization that relocates families that do not live up to the standards set by those families deemed ‘worthy’. Many people now live in fear that they will be pulled next. Hogwarts is still the safest place to be, yet only a ghost of it's self. Many students have left the school, never to return. Those that remain are either of an elite status or belong to a family smart enough to fold under the Dark Lord's wishes.
Who will stand up and fight, who will cower in fear?
Will you do what's expected of you, or wander onto the road less traveled?
Are you one of the elite families? Or are you of one of the select few unworthy families still out there?
